Poppy is a Broadcast Journalist and Philosophy and Politics grad from the University of Reading. When she’s not being a professional yapper over the radio waves, she’s training for a crazy triathlon fundraiser, quoting bell hooks at her long-suffering friends and boyfriend, or arguing with right-wing newspaper readers. At work, in-between submitting powerful content on women’s empowerment and migrant rights, she’s over-using the word ‘slay’ in professional emails and meetings. Poppy volunteers with asylum seekers in her local area, hoping to empower them in speaking their truth to make change. She loves nothing more than watching a rom-com on the sofa with her Mum, whom she credits for her feminist upbringing and unwavering strength through adversity.
