about spike report

Introducing Spike Report, a spiking database to protect you and your mates on a night out. After recent incidents, we realised there was no viewable database on spikings in the UK. You can report an incident to the police, but you can’t view what others have reported.

With Spike Report, you can report a spiking incident but also view what others have submitted. Search by venue, city, or method of spiking. We’re all about giving you the info you need to have the safest night possible - including the date of the spiking so you know when it happened, where and how.

I was in the club with friends for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, everyone thought I was just drunk and then I fell on the floor (I'm typically a very composed drunk person so this set off alarm bells). My friends took me outside and I started freaking out and thinking that a random group of boys where going to attack me, I was hyperventilating and crying for ages and apparently I was hallucinating seeing member of my family in the street, I thought that some of my friends where also out to get me. They got me in an uber and took my back to my friends flat, where I clung into one of my friends and wouldn’t let him leave me so he had to calm me down enough to sleep. the next day I woke up and immediately knew I had been spiked, we then checked my arms and saw the puncture site that was starting to bruise.

that and a friend went to the club which was relatively quiet when we arrived. Videos from the night show that within an hour after arriving, and after only one drink and two shots, we were screaming, staggering and behaving far more erratically than we ever had before. I have zero memory after getting our drinks and woke up in hospital the next morning so the following events are purely pieced together from videos and my friends memory. We both ended up in a toilet cubicle violently throwing up, I went completely unconscious and had to be carried out by club security. My friend was luckily conscious and alert and with the knowledge that I am diabetic she begged the bouncer to call an ambulance. Unfortunately the club staff wrote it off as a student who had drunk too much and left me on the pavement outside with my friend and a couple of lovely strangers who stayed to help. I have vague flashes of memory at the hospital noting that I couldn’t move my legs, I was vomiting uncontrollably and violently shaking. The next morning I told the doctors what had happened and that I believed I had been spiked - they hinted that there was something in my bloodstream but again wrote it off as a student who had simply taken strong drugs for fun. They told me to go home and take anti-sickness tablets. After getting home, my friend and I researched different types of drugs used for spiking and found that ketamine could cause uncontrollable behaviour, vomiting and temporary paralysis and decided this was probably the most likely thing used. I phoned the police who said two officers would be round to take my statement that evening. They never showed.

Was watching Knocked Loose in Project House, and left my drink with my partner to go pee. After I came back I finished my drink (I only had a half pint). I felt extremely drunk and weak. I couldn't clench my fist and was struggling to stay on my feet. It was dreadful and I didn't enjoy the concert.

I was on a second date with a man I'd met from Hinge. We'd had a walk in the country, followed by some drinks and dinner out. I have a high alcohol tolerance, but towards the end of the evening I blacked out and was found throwing up sat in a pool of my own vomit. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before, even when I've drunk far beyond my limits. I have little memory but have pieced the event together through other peoples accounts. The guy I was with made no attempts to get me back to the bar, to a safe place, call an ambulance, call the police, or even call a friend or family member for me. A woman who was passing by stopped to help me and was crouched down on the floor with me when my mother arrived (due to a pre-arranged pick up and interventions from my friend trying to get hold of me for her) the guy was stood up a couple of metres away from me and just said "it's not my fault" to her.

I was fine going into Kiwis, I remember speaking to bar staff etc, I sat at a table, my friend went to the toilet. I was alone for about 5-6 minutes. I was rummaging in my bag for something and as I looked up I saw 2 men walking away from my table. My friend came back from the toilet and I remember chatting, then the next thing I know I was in a taxi with my friend, I could hear everything going on around me but I was unable to move or speak. My friend called my husband who then met us near my house and I had to be carried by my husband as I was unable to walk. I was sick several times and was unable to hold my head up, my husband stayed awake all night as he was worried I would choke. I have no recollection of anything else that evening. My friend said we were chatting and all of a sudden it was like something changed and I wasn't really there. The next day I was totally unable to sleep, I couldn't keep anything down including water. I did not drink an excessive amount that evening so I am sure it was not due to alcohol, I would be the first to take responsibility.

Myself and 6 friends visited this venue only to be verbally abused by a male customer within 5 minutes of arriving, undoing his belt and zip, walking towards us and asking us which one wants it first. This same male customer continued to harass us at our allocated table, knocking into us and trying to intimidate us, also going to our food and drinks when he thought none of us where watching. One of my friends finally called him out when he was caught at our table with our drinks again only for him to become verbally and physically abusive towards her. 3 of the girls where then removed while another found me and the rest of the group to inform us of what happened and that we were all being removed. One of the bouncers became frustrated at all of us for continuing to call out the male customer for being a predator so the bouncer squared up to one of my friends and because she didn’t back down he launched at her dragging her back into the entrance and throwing her to the floor. There is more to the story but to keep this as brief as possible we finally left the area and within 15 mins my partner became unconscious. Shaking, eyes rolling, unable to walk or talk dropping in and out of consciousness. She was checked over by a member of staff from another venue and the confirmed she had been spiked. We have had no support from bar and beyond, the police or the nhs.

We arrived at the venue just after 9pm and went to the bar to get a drink. In the change over of artists we made our way through the crowd to help with some of the equipment at the front. We were stood in a busy crowd with our drinks in our elbows whilst we were faffing looking up at the camera being turned on on the lighting rig etc. we then filmed the gig and a friend became unwell once the band had finished. She went outside as she couldn’t stop hiccuping and then started vomiting. She became more slurry and we left the venue after 11pm. She was more unwell whilst waiting for an Uber. Her partner got her home safely but she blacked out in the cab and was sick through the night, then slept all day Monday. We’ve spoken to the venue today and anonymously reported to the police. She doesn’t wish to be identified or give personal details to the police. The venue have responded immediately and so far have been great. We just wanted to raise awareness of this happening in case anyone else reports anything similar.

I was having a regular night out with friends and went to the bar for another drink, started talking to a guy who said they were 25 (I was 18) and I thought I was keeping track of how much I’d drunk and keeping a hand on my glass on the bar whilst having a conversation with him. After that my memory becomes very fragmented and I remember specific moments but not the order they happened or the timeframe. I knew for sure that something was wrong because I know how I feel when I’ve had enough to drink to feel a little out of control of my movements but I’ve never felt like I couldn’t get words out. I remember the man picked me up with my legs round his waist and carried me to a booth where he started kissing me and putting his tongue all over my body but I could not speak to stop him. It undoubtedly looked very heavy-handed or animalistic. I also remember seeing a woman across the room who seemed like she was club staff, watching what was happening without intervening. It felt like I was aware of everything going on and sober in my brain but my body and mouth were too drunk to do anything except go along with it. Eventually he started to take me down the stairs to leave the club and I managed to open messages with my friend and text him loads until he found me and took me back upstairs to the rest of the group and figure out taxis to get me home. A police report was opened in the few days afterwards once I’d processed what happened and told a family member, but nothing ever came from it. Oxford had a period in 2021 where spiking was happening very frequently at clubs like Bridge and Atik and I have friends who had very bad experiences at both of those, involving the security teams.

Had a bottomless brunch with a group of 14 friends and was drinking Prosecco. Was not drunk when I left Bar Soba and was admitted to Be At One without any issues. I didn’t have time for a drink in Be At One as I very quickly, within 10 minutes of arriving, became unwell. It was like nothing I’d experienced before. I vomited and was not in control of my body at all. The doorman approached me and asked what I’d taken. I was with friends who defended me vehemently and said nothing at all. They told me to get up and walk but I physically couldn’t. They dragged me out of the bar and placed me on a bar stool. I fell off and hit my head straight away. My friends called an ambulance and I was taken to A&E but I have very little recollection of any of that. They have all told me that it was an instant change in me, that it was scary to see me not in control of my body at all. I could hear what people were saying to me but I couldn’t respond or get my body to move in the way I wanted it to. I was treated as a drunk.

I was travelling with a friend and we had been pre drinking in the hostel with a group of friends we'd made. we got to the beach where the full moon party was and at some point got a bucket each. I only remember the first hour or so of the party and the next thing I remember is being on the back of a moped LUCKILY with someone from the group of friends we'd made who was taking me home because of the state I was in. Once my friend and the rest of the group came back to the hostel they told me I had started acting weird and was wondering off and wasn't making sense when I was speaking. They were asking me if I remembered doing things from earlier in the night and I couldn't. When I had wondered off it was someone else from the group who found me and got me back to the hostel, whilst the rest of them were running up and down the beach panicking where I had gone. I had drank but not enough to black out as badly as this. After speaking to other people we met travelling a lot of people were saying they thought they'd been spiked or knew people who had been spiked at the full moon party, and I think it must have been the bucket as it's huge and so easy to slip something in to. I didn't report it to the bar or even the hostel staff as I didn't put the pieces together that I was spiked until I came home from travelling.

I went for a night up the town with a few of my friends. I was feeling completely fine the whole night up until round about 2 in the morning, I started feeling very unwell but just thought it was due to the alcohol, I went to the toilets and ended up collapsing. My memory is very blurry but I remember the woman that works at lorenzos came into the bathroom and started banging on my door telling me to get out. I managed to just pull myself up and open the door, the woman told me to leave as the nightclub was shut now, I checked the time and it was half 4, I had been unconscious on the bathroom floor cubicle for almost 2 and a half hours and nobody helped (my friends were looking for me came into the bathroom and chapped on the doors shouting my name but as I was unconscious I didn’t hear them) the woman in the bathroom, that stays in the bathroom to make sure everyone is okay ( clearly needs other job as they can’t even do that) basically pushed me out the bathroom and told me to go home even though she could see I could hardly walk. I somehow managed to get down the stairs and out side ( I don’t remember that part) I went outside and my vision was very blurry, I managed to just make out a group of girls and went upto them and said “help I think I’ve been spiked” I then collapsed and went unconscious again, they phoned an ambulance and managed to get my phone to phone my parents. Then went and got a bouncer from lorenzos to help but they shrugged their shoulders and said “just a typical drunk girl” walked away and locked the doors and left me. Luckily a really nice bouncer from PJ molloys just down the road heard what happened and came and helped. I reported it to the police the next day and they done some tests and examined me and found a pin prick on my shoulder. My friends had previously went to other bars to look for me as I was unconscious for over 2 hours and didn’t answer my phone.

Between 10-11.30had two drinks. The first one was ordered by my boyfriend. The second round was bought by my sister although a waiter brought the second round of drinks over. Whilst we drank the first round a young man around early 20s sat with us. He was quite chatty. I finished our second drinks then went to dance with my partner. As I got up to dance, I felt a sudden wave through my body like someone has knocked me out cold, I collapsed and started acting irrationally yelling screaming rolling around in the floor. No memory from collapsing then woke up in hospital at 6am

I wasn't really on a night out, I was having a catch-up with my friend who I hadn't seen in a while so we were having around one drink per venue and chatting loads. We got to la'go and had an amazing time dancing loads and I had a drink while I was dancing at the bar. I turned away and when I turned back, there was an identical drink placed next to mine, but I wasn't sure which one was mine- there was no one else near the part of the bar I was at (it was quite quiet but loud music). I took the one that I thought was mine and then the next thing I knew I was in the back of an ambulance and the paramedics were telling me I was just drunk and that they had taken me home. My friend said that I lost all control of my limbs and couldn't stop throwing up (I've thrown up from drinking 3 times in my life) and I collapsed and hit my head on a step resulting in a broken brow bone, a black eye and a split lip. I only went to A&E the next day because I felt concussed but felt guilty as the paramedics just said I was drunk. I don't know if on the night La'Go knew I was spiked but they were super helpful with getting my phone back the next day. probably the worst part of it was that i had to go to a family gathering with a black eye, and my aunt who is a fairly high-up policewoman in Preston said to all my family that I was faking it and was making excuses for drinking too much as she said that spiking is never actually reported....

Became very unwell after a couple of drinks. Violently sick, couldn’t walk. My friends looked after me. Had been watching Lil Tjay, there was a mosh pit, people were being pulled out, it was awful. It might have happened then, but I don’t know. I don’t remember much. My friends called my parents. My mum said I was saying I’d been stuck with a needle & that I know what drunk is & this isn’t it, somethings wrong. My mum spoke to a welfare officer from the festival & he helped her to get to me, she said it was really difficult to get to me. Luckily my friends bRought me out. And my mum took me to A&E. they said it was a spike, could see the mark. They did blood test & now I have to have a course of Hep B vaccine. There were 3 other girls that had the same thing as me at A&E that had been at the festival. My dad reported to the police, there’s nothing they can do????

I went out with my friends for my work leaving party. We had a few drinks before the club but I was still in control and aware. I remember going to the club but after this I have no memory of the night. According to my friends, I was extremely drunk and out of control, which they’ve never seen before. There was no way this correlated to the amount I had drunk. Thankfully I had safe people around me who put me in a taxi but I woke up the next day with no recollection of going home. I felt in a complete trance for the rest of that next day, which I’ve never had before. As soon as I woke up I thought I was spiked and I was so confused as to how I had ended up in that state but decided I couldn’t have been spiked as I was watching my drink the whole time. Needle spiking never occurred to me as a possibility. For days afterwards I was sick and hungover, and had no appetite. I have never been that hungover before and have never not remembered a night out, even when I’d been drinking more than I had been that night. A week later, a friend noticed a strange circular bruise on the back of my arm with a puncture mark in the middle. She told me it looked like the mark she had when she was needle spiked and instantly it made sense. I researched needle spiking and talked to my GP who confirmed that I was needle spiked. Unfortunately it was too late to see which drug had been used as it was a week after the incident and the drugs were out of my system.

At around midnight I got spiked I believe and I completely lost my memory. I didn't realise I was spiked until the day after. I have a huge graze on my knee and a scratch on my boob and I don't know how it happened. I also sent loads of videos to my friends and I don't remember doing it. I don't remember getting in the Uber home. I was very sick in the Uber and felt odd up until Thursday 6/7.

I went to the bar to collect another drink. I’d only had 3 drinks and was only slightly tipsy, my friends had seen me drunk after several more drinks and I had never been bad. I started to not know where I was and had all the symptoms of rohypnol spiking; nausea, disorientation, couldn't walk straight, etc. There was absolutely no support from the bouncers.

drink was spiked whilst on a night out with work friends; luckily friends noticed relatively quickly and got me back to the hotel we were staying at. i completely blacked out for hours, could not walk or raise my head and continuously vomiting (this has never happened to me, even when i have had significantly more to drink than i did this night). friends called an ambulance at 1am as i was vomiting in my sleep but it did not arrive until 5am, by which time i’d slept off the worst of it and come around. spent the next day continuously vomiting, with dizziness/nausea. contacted the venue and police, told both the time frame and exactly where i was in the bar for them to check CCTV. no response from the venue and police have advised there is not much they can do as the ambulance did not run blood tests when they attended my hotel room on the night of the spiking.
