ON-SITE EFFECTIVE ALLIES
WE can HAVE A TEAM OF EFFECTIVE ALLIES ROUTINELY TOURING YOUR FESTIVAL WITH SIGNAGE TO EXPLAIN WHO WE ARE, ACTING AS A contact FOR CUSTOMERS AND STAFF TO GO TO WITH CONCERNS AND ASK FOR OUR ADVICE. OUR EFFECTIVE ALLIES HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY THE Safe place project™.
VICTIMS CAN BE BROUGHT TO US BY YOUR STAFF SO WE CAN PROVIDE TRAUMA-INFORMED SUPPORT. OUR EFFECTIVE ALLIES ARE TRAINED IN VICTIM-FOCUSED, ANTI-VICTIM BLAMING RESPONSES. OUR TEAM WILL ALSO ASSIST IN ESCALATING INCIDENTS TO THE CORRECT TEAMS WITHIN your FESTIVAL AND ASSIST wITH THE INVOLVEMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES.
SAFETY/WELFARE TENT
our team of effective allies can set up a tent and run this throughout your festival, creating a meeting point and safety/welfare check in hub to increase safety and inclusion. the tent would be a place to go for festival goers who are concerned about sexual violence, spiking and other hateful behaviours. victims can be taken here so we can provide support to them and their friends.
routine staff briefings
we can provide regular briefings with liaison teams, staff, volunteers and/or security to reflect on previous days, highlight good practice and collaborate on possible improvements.
policy guidance
we can review your existing policies and procedures and consult on how to improve. we can recommend steps to ensure trauma-informed, victim-led, victim-focussed responses. we can also offer bespoke policies and procedures which will be discussed and created over consultations with you. we will tailor all policies required to the needs of your event to ensure all staff understand their roles if an incident occurs.
training
We specialise in training staff on being effective allies to those who are or may be vulnerable. Our unique training looks at identifying, preventing and responding to risks of harm posed from customers, colleagues and agents at festivals. We teach staff how to effectively deter perpetrators and prevent harmful actions from occurring. We also provide staff with workplace inclusivity training, engaging with difficult topics such as gaslighting, inappropriate language and microaggressions. We can provide bespoke training to your security teams on how to engage with festival goers and brief them at the beginning and end of every shift to share good practice and report any incidents.
